About the Event
The Glade Run Lake Conservancy (GRLC) invites members of the public to submit their best photos that showcase the beauty of Glade Run Lake and its surrounding property. There are six categories:
- Landscape
- Birds
- Reptiles/Amphibians
- Insects
- Plants/Flowers/Fungi
- Mammals
Winning photographs will be featured in our 2023 nature calendar.
Eligibility: This contest is open to professional and amateur photographers of all ages.
Entry Fee: Entry into the contest is $10 for up to 3 photos. Submitting more than 3 photos will require an additional $10 entry fee. Photos may be submitted in multiple categories.
Submission: Photos can be submitted by emailing them to Lisa Busa, Glade Run Lake Conservancy board member. Please include your name/contact information and indicate the category/categories that you are entering. Once you submit your photos, we will contact you with payment options. All submissions must be made by 12:00am (EST) on August 31, 2022.
Winners: Winners will be chosen the first week of September. Winners will be notified by September 10, 2022 and will be announced on GRLC social media. Winners will receive a free GRLC 2023 nature calendar.
Photo Requirements: Photos MUST have been taken at Glade Run Lake Park in Valencia, Pennsylvania. All submitted photos must be in a high resolution (preferably 300 dpi or above) JPG format. Please do not watermark your photo entry.
Release: By participating in this contest, you grant the GRLC royalty-free permission in perpetuity to use your photo/photos for our calendar, website, social media platforms, and/or external communication materials such as brochures, email blasts, and flyers. Photographers will receive named credit when GRLC uses their photograph.
