BUTLER COUNTY, PA (September 5, 2019) – Internationally televised, thirty-three year old television show Fishing University, will soon make Butler County home for a week, to film episodes of America’s original “how-to” fishing program. Pro-fishermen, Charlie Ingram and Ray Brazier along with special guests, will be heading to Lake Arthur at Moraine State Park to film a traditional fishing segment and Glade Run Lake for a kayak show.

The competitive fishing show is packed with “how-to tips” and “tricks of the trade” making it popular among competitive amateur and professional anglers. Fishing University will not only feature Lake Arthur and Glade Run Lake, but also highlight local dining, activities and area attractions.

In addition to filming promotional spots and fishing, the hosts, film crew and representatives from Jennings Environmental Education Center and Moraine State Park will present a one-hour program at both Butler Senior High School and Knoch High School. The program will share with the students the importance of attaining an education and the outdoor career options available. The session will offer a “Q & A” time with discussion of education majors such as communications, marketing, biology, wildlife management and animal husbandry.

Each school will have a two-minute segment within the show. Fishing University will air in 2020 on 'The Outdoor Channel', 'World Fishing Network' and the 'Sportsman Channel'.

“The county is very proud to host Fishing University and showcase the beauty of Moraine State Park and Glade Run Lake.
